MORE THAN SAVE-THE-DATE
Almost every couple tells me the same thing before their engagement session: we’re not photogenic, we don’t know what to do, this feels awkward. Then about fifteen minutes in, they forget I’m there and start being themselves. That’s the whole point.
By your wedding day, being photographed together isn’t a new thing anymore. You know how this goes, you know how I work, and I know how you two are with each other — where you laugh, what makes you relax, which side you like. That shows up in every photograph I take of you afterward.
You also get pictures of a specific year of your life, when you’re engaged and everything is ahead of you. Most couples end up loving those as much as the wedding ones.

• Every edited image from your session, delivered in both color and black and white

• A print release, so you can print and share them wherever you like

You do not need to know how to stand, where to put your hands, or what to do with your face. That’s my job, and I’ll tell you everything.
I’ll pick the time so the light is soft. I’ll find the spot. I’ll position you so the wind works in your favor — there’s always wind out here, and beach hair is part of the deal, but it doesn’t have to be the whole story.
Then I stop directing and let you two talk to each other. The pictures you’ll love are almost always the ones taken thirty seconds after I stopped saying anything.
You just show up.
AFTERWARD
And Then You Have Them
Your gallery arrives in about [X weeks], every image fully edited, in color and black and white, at full resolution.
Use them for save-the-dates, your wedding website, a print for your parents, or just the one you both keep looking at. The print release means they’re yours — but if you’re printing something for a wall, order through the gallery. The color there is calibrated to match exactly what I edited.
WHAT TO WEAR
Where Should We Do It?
The beach is the obvious answer, and it’s a good one — Melbourne Beach, Vero Beach, Cocoa Beach and the quiet access points in between. But it isn’t the only one.
Some couples want the water. Others want a park, a garden, a trail they walk on weekends, or the porch of the house where they met. If a place means something to you, tell me and we’ll go there. Other fantastic places to have an engagement session are Sebastian Inlet, Cocoa Village, Rockledge Gardens, Up the Creek Farms, Winter Park – the list goes on and on!
What Should We Wear?
Whatever makes you feel like yourselves, in colors that don’t fight each other. Soft neutrals, creams, dusty blues and sandy tones photograph beautifully on this coast. Skip big logos and hard neon, and don’t match exactly — coordinate instead.
If one of you is in something flowing, the other should be a little dressed up too, so you look like you came from the same evening. Bring a second option if you can’t decide; there’s usually time to change.
